The NBCC Foundation is hosting Counseling Foundations: Your Path to Career Success, a virtual career fair, on Thursday, April 30, 2026, from 11 am–5 pm EDT.
This career event aims to connect employers, recent graduates from master’s and doctoral counseling programs, and seasoned counseling professionals nationwide in a virtual setting to explore current and future staffing opportunities. Through its affiliation with the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC), the Foundation is connected to over 70,000 counselors, practitioners, and counseling students and will utilize this career fair to introduce those talented individuals to employers seeking to expand their organizations’ talent pipelines.
Counseling Foundations: Your Path to Career Success offers a unique and affordable way for job seekers and employers from all over the country to connect and create partnerships intended to increase access and promote mental health services across the United States.
Each registered employer will have a personalized virtual booth and be able to chat one-on-one with job seekers. Employers will also be able to review attendees’ résumés before the event and schedule chats with specific candidates! Take your involvement to the next level with a sponsorship package, which provides extra marketing opportunities and increased visibility during the event, as well as additional job posting possibilities after the event.
True to the Foundation’s mission of expanding the mental health workforce and NBCC’s mission of advancing the profession of counseling, this event is especially devoted to providing hiring and marketing opportunities for counselors and employers committed to increasing the availability of mental health services. Among the highly qualified and enthusiastic job seekers attending the career fair will be counseling professionals who have engaged in education and professional development specifically designed to prepare them to work with the communities most in need of mental health services.
